How long does a session last?
The first session will always take the most time and is typically where most of the progress is made getting your dogs behavior under control. The first session will usually last 3-5 hours depending on how the dog and owner are understanding what is being taught. following session will usually last 1-3 hours.
Do I have to pay extra for more time in a session?
NO!!
Whether you are doing a single session or multiple sessions I will always spend the time needed to ensure both you and your dog are making progress and understanding what we are working on. I do not ever charge extra to spend more time with you during a session.
Do you do board and trains?
Typically I do not do board and trains.
I have found it to be much more successful to work with the owner and dog together in their home setting were the problems are happening. It is my goal to teach owners how to do everything I am doing with their dog so the dog learns to look to the owner for leadership in stressful situations. If the owners don't learn how to properly communicate with their dog the behaviors will comeback no matter how much time they spend training.
On very rare occasions if the behaviors are severe enough and the dog needs a more intense rehabilitation I will offer a board and train to help fix the behavior.
Is there hope for my dog?
ABSOLUTELY YES THERE IS HOPE FOR YOUR DOG!!
I have been extremely successful changing dogs with with extremely out of control behaviors. This includes severe aggression, severe anxiety and dogs that will not listen at all no matter what owners have tried. Most of my most successful cases come from dogs that have already worked with other trainers and they either got no results or their behaviors got worse working with other trainers. In each of these cases there were no results until I started working with them. Most owners are completely surprised with how fast their dogs behavior starts getting under control once they get the leadership they need and desire.
